The Workplace Services Engineer will be responsible for managing IT infrastructure, operations, and helpdesk support, ensuring compliance with global IT standards and security requirements. This individual will act as the primary point of contact for Japan, collaborating with both local business teams and international IT colleagues. Responsibilities

  • IT Infrastructure
  • Coordinate and manage IT equipment upgrades, hardware refresh cycles, and new site setups.
  • Oversee vendor management, asset tracking, and budget preparation.
  • Operations & Maintenance
  • Implement hardware refresh plans and manage software licensing.
  • Conduct IT room compliance reviews, Active Directory housekeeping, and Disaster Recovery documentation updates/tests.
  • IT Helpdesk
  • Provide second-level support for Active Directory, LAN/WAN, and software deployments.
  • Resolve local IT support tickets and guide team members on troubleshooting.
  • Compliance
  • Ensure strict adherence to global IT standards, security protocols, and audit requirements.


Requirements

  • Native-level proficiency in Japanese; business-level English (written and verbal).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Mathematics, Engineering, Business, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in an IT support environment, ideally within a multinational organization.
  • Technical expertise in LAN/WAN, Windows OS, Mac OS, iOS, Android, VOIP, Google Workspace, and printers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build partnerships, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively across teams.
