To be considered, you will need to be able to provide evidence of:

  • Previous experience as a Cook or Chef, preferably within an aged care or healthcare environment
  • Experience preparing meals for large groups
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Valid Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, where required
  • Valid Police Check
  • 100 Points of ID
  • Valid Work Rights
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain

What will you be doing? Cook / Chef

  • Preparing and cooking nutritious and high-quality meals for residents
  • Following menus, recipes and dietary requirements
  • Preparing meals that cater to special dietary needs, allergies and texture-modified diets
  • Ensuring meals are prepared and served on time
  • Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
  • Following infection control and workplace health and safety procedures
  • Managing food preparation areas and kitchen equipment
  • Assisting with stock rotation and monitoring food supplies
  • Minimising food waste and maintaining appropriate portion sizes
  • Working collaboratively with kitchen and facility staff
  • Creating a positive dining experience for residents
