Forklift Operator Responsibilities

  • Obtain forklift license and certification on the first day of employment
  • Safely operate sit-down forklift or Hilo truck within warehouse environments
  • Transport, stage, and store materials efficiently and responsibly
  • Document and scan storage locations and products accurately
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Comply with all safety, quality, and operational procedures
  • Assist with setting up machines and equipment as needed
  • Stack, pack, and transport finished products

Forklift Operator Physical & Skill Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly
  • Prolonged sitting or standing during shifts
  • Reach, grasp, stoop, bend, and kneel as necessary
  • Strong attention to detail with good hand-eye coordination
  • Previous forklift experience required; warehouse experience preferred
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively within a team
  • Commitment to safety and quality practices

Forklift Operator Personal Protective Equipment & Dress Code

  • PPE required: safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and closed-toe shoes (all provided)
  • Dress code: jeans and a clean T-shirt; no sweatpants or offensive graphics
Forklift Operator Schedule, Pay and Location: 
  • C shift - Friday & Saturday 6AM - 6PM, Sunday & Monday 5:30PM - 5:30AM
  • Pay $17.45 per hour
  • North Kansas City, Missouri
