Apply directOur client is seeking an experienced Head of Corporate Communications to lead and strengthen the organisation’s corporate communications and reputation agenda.
This role will work closely with senior management and will be responsible for shaping corporate narratives, managing key stakeholders, strengthening media engagement, and providing strategic communications counsel on business-critical matters.
The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, with proven experience managing corporate reputation, sensitive issues, executive communications, and internal communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic corporate communications plans aligned with business objectives.
- Shape corporate narratives, key messages, positioning, and communication strategies.
- Advise senior management on corporate reputation, sensitive communications, and stakeholder matters.
- Lead media relations and maintain strong relationships with relevant media.
- Manage crisis and issue communications, including response strategies and protocols.
- Oversee internal and leadership communications, including Town Halls and executive communications.
- Develop communication guidelines, playbooks, approval processes, and governance frameworks.
- Manage corporate digital and social media communications.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the communications team.
- Monitor communication effectiveness through relevant metrics such as media coverage, share of voice, reach, sentiment, and reputation indicators.
Requirements
- Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in Corporate Communications, Strategic Communications, Corporate Affairs, Public Affairs, Corporate Secretary, or Communications Consultancy.
- Preferably currently operating at Head, Senior Manager, AVP, VP, or equivalent level.
- Proven experience working directly with CEO, Board of Directors, or senior management.
- Demonstrated ownership of a corporate communications function beyond executional PR or marketing activities.
- Strong experience in media relations, corporate reputation, crisis and issue management, and stakeholder communications.
- Experience managing and developing a team.
- Strong understanding of the Indonesian business, economic, political, and media landscape.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.

Strong Corporate Communications professionals from reputable communications consultancies or other reputation-sensitive industries may also be considered.

- Managing significant corporate issues or crises, including specific examples and outcomes.
- Building and maintaining relevant media relationships.
- Developing communication guidelines, crisis protocols, spokesperson frameworks, and approval processes.
- Leading internal and leadership communications initiatives.
- Delivering measurable communication outcomes.
- Leading and developing a relatively junior communications team.

We are looking for a communications leader who can operate as a strategic advisor to management while remaining hands-on in execution.
