Public Sector People are working with Logan City Council, who are seeking a Psychosocial Risk & Assurance Specialist to lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Council’s psychosocial health and safety framework.
In this role you will be providing specialist advice, risk management expertise, governance oversight, organisational insights and capability development to ensure compliance with legislative obligations and foster a psychologically healthy and safe workplace.

Pay: $64.78 per hour + super
Location: Logan, South Brisbane, 150 Wembley Road
Client: Logan City Council
Start date: ASAP
Contract length: Initial contract until 6th August 2027 + extension / opportunity to go perm

What you will be doing:
- Monitor Council’s compliance with psychosocial health and safety obligations and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Develop, implement and continually improve Council’s psychosocial risk management framework, policies, procedures and supporting tools.
- Provide specialist advice on organisational design, workforce practices, leadership behaviours, workplace interactions and change initiatives to minimize psychosocial risk exposure.
- Lead and coordinate psychosocial safety initiatives, projects, and programs across Council.
- Develop productive partnerships and collaborate effectively with leaders, staff, unions, health and safety representatives and external providers.
Key Requirements
- Degree qualification in Workplace Health and Safety, Psychology, Organisational Psychology, Human Resources, Organisational Development, Risk Management, or a related discipline; and/or substantial relevant experience.
- Qualifications in change management, facilitation, leadership development, or workplace investigations (highly desirable).
- Experience in Local council / State government
- Available as soon as possible.
