Insurance Transformation - Senior Project Manager (70K+)

About the Client

A leading global insurance group undergoing a large-scale Retirement and Pensions transformation programme. This is a high-visibility role within the Retirement Tech team, working on regulatory and transformational initiatives that impact MPF and pension products across Hong Kong.

Role Overview

The Senior Project Manager will lead and manage end-to-end delivery of Retirement Tech projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and Agile delivery standards. The role involves managing project budgets, plans, timelines, scope, and stakeholder engagement across IT, Operations, Trustee, Strategy, and Compliance functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develops, tracks and manages project budget, project plans, timelines and scope

• Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses to senior management and steering committees

• Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized

• Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors

• Perform cross-function/entity impact analysis to identify stakeholders and dependencies

• Partner with Product Owners and Scrum Masters across IT, Operations, Trustee, Strategy, and Compliance

• Track project progress and produce management dashboards/reports on milestones, benefit, and spending

• Coordinate multi-party meetings with internal stakeholders and external vendors

• Work closely with Senior Project Manager and Program Director on executive asks

Requirements

Must-Have

• Minimum 5 years of work experience specializing in project management

• Insurance or financial services background

• Agile knowledge is a must

• Proficient in both English and Chinese (including Mandarin)

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in an insurance company is highly preferred

• PMP, PMI-ACP, or CISM certification

• Knowledge of MPF or pension products/services

• Hands-on with MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Pivot Table
