Payroll Manager

We are partnering with a For-Purpose organisation to appoint an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee the organisation’s payroll function and ensure employees are paid accurately, efficiently and on time.

This is an opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with stakeholder management and process improvement, while working within an organisation that makes a meaningful difference.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing the end-to-end payroll function across the organisation
• Ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll
• Overseeing payroll compliance, including awards, enterprise agreements, superannuation and taxation requirements
• Managing payroll reconciliations, reporting and month-end processes
• Working closely with People & Culture to ensure employee data and payroll processes are accurately maintained
• Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve payroll processes and systems
• Maintaining strong payroll controls and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation

You will bring:

• Strong experience managing end-to-end payroll
• Excellent knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards and employment conditions
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• The confidence to manage complex payroll queries and provide practical advice
• Experience leading or mentoring a payroll team
• A proactive approach to process improvement and systems optimisation
• Experience in For-Purpose is highly regarded
