General & Finishing Foremen

FRS Recruitment are currently recruiting for experienced General & Finishing Supervisors / Foremen to join a leading Tier 1 Main Building Contractor, working across a number of major construction projects throughout Cork City and County.

Our client is one of Ireland's most established Main Contractors, with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects across the pharmaceutical, commercial, residential and industrial sectors.

The company has a very strong pipeline of ongoing and upcoming projects throughout Cork and the wider Munster region, offering excellent long-term career opportunities and progression within the business.

We are seeking experienced General Supervisors and Finishing Supervisors / Foremen who have a strong background in large-scale building projects and are comfortable overseeing subcontractors, coordinating site activities and ensuring works are delivered to a high standard.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established construction team, working on some of the largest and most interesting building projects in the Munster region.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction activities across major building projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades and general site operations effectively.
• Monitor project progress against construction programmes and deadlines.
• Ensure all works meet required quality and safety standards.
• Supervise general building works or internal finishing packages.
• Work closely with Site Managers, Engineers and Project Managers.
• Identify and resolve site issues to maintain project progress.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, organisation and site safety.

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience in a similar supervisory position.
• Previous experience with a Main Building Contractor in Ireland/UK.
• Strong background in commercial, pharmaceutical or large-scale building projects.
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades on-site.
• Good understanding of construction sequencing, programmes and quality standards.
• Strong communication, leadership and site management skills.
• Ability to work independently within a larger project delivery team.
• Relevant construction qualifications and site safety certifications desirable.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: €70,000 – €85,000 DOE.
