Aequor is currently hiring a full-time SLPA on our school-based team in San Jose, CA for the 26/27 school year.
Pay: $56 - $60 per hour W-2 (12-month salary options available if preferred).
Position Summary
The School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supports the delivery of speech and language services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). The SLPA assists with implementing therapy plans, preparing materials, documenting student performance, and promoting communication skills that support access to the educational environment.

Position Summary
The School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supports the delivery of speech and language services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). The SLPA assists with implementing therapy plans, preparing materials, documenting student performance, and promoting communication skills that support access to the educational environment.
Therapy Support
- Implement speech and language intervention activities as directed by the supervising SLP.
- Provide individual and small-group services aligned with student IEP goals.
- Support development of articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication skills.
- Assist with carryover of communication strategies in classroom and school routines.
Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers.
- Support generalization of communication skills across settings.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or related field as required by state regulations.
- Current state SLPA license, registration, or authorization (as applicable).
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children and adolescents.
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Experience working in a school or pediatric setting.
- Ability to support diverse learners and inclusive practices.
