Site Supervisor

An established and highly regarded commercial construction contractor is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join a landmark commercial fitout project in Melbourne's CBD.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role on a high-profile workplace fitout spanning approximately 3,600m² across two levels, delivering a premium outcome within a live occupied environment.

The Project

• Two-level commercial fitout (approx. 1,800m² per floor)
• Live staged delivery with client occupation maintained throughout construction
• Melbourne CBD location
• Commencing July 2026
• Scheduled completion December 2026
• Supported by a dedicated Project Engineer throughout the duration of the works
• Six-day working week with occasional Sunday works if required by programme

The Role
Working closely with the Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You will coordinate multiple trades, manage site logistics within a live environment, drive programme outcomes, and maintain strong relationships with all project stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all site activities from mobilisation through to completion
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and building management
• Develop and manage short-term construction programmes
• Monitor progress and drive programme milestones
• Lead daily site coordination and toolbox meetings
• Manage site logistics, access requirements, and sequencing of works
• Maintain accurate site records and reporting
• Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental requirements
• Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, inductions, and incident management
• Review and manage quality inspections, test plans, and defect rectification
• Monitor labour, plant, and material requirements
• Support variation management and identify commercial risks and opportunities
• Act as the primary site contact for clients, consultants, neighbouring tenants, and stakeholders
• Mentor and support site personnel while fostering a positive team culture

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Proven experience supervising commercial fitout projects
• Strong understanding of staged delivery within occupied environments
• Excellent planning, coordination, and programme management skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple trades simultaneously
• Sound knowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing, and temporary works
• Strong understanding of OH&S legislation and quality management systems
• Experience using project management and scheduling tools, including MS Project
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
• Commercial awareness and the ability to identify and manage project risks
• Natural leadership qualities with a hands-on approach to site delivery
