Our client is seeking a passionate and motivated Physiotherapist to join their growing Allied Health team in Launceston, delivering high-quality care to clients across Residential Aged Care Facilities and a community setting. This is a mobile role offering variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of older Australians. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide client-centred physiotherapy services focused on improving mobility, independence, wellbeing, and quality of life. Services are delivered across clients' homes, aged care facilities, wellness centres, and, where appropriate, via telehealth. Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and develop individualised treatment plans.
- Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy interventions to clients in residential aged care and community settings.
- Complete mobility, wellbeing and falls risk assessments.
- Prescribe and review exercise programs to support rehabilitation and independence.
- Provide rehabilitation services including post-operative, neurological, cardiorespiratory and reablement programs.
- Deliver falls prevention, pain management and mobility improvement initiatives.
- Assess and prescribe appropriate mobility aids and equipment.
- Provide hands-on treatment where clinically indicated.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, reports, care plans and progress notes.
- Collaborate with residents, clients, families, care staff, GPs and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Deliver manual handling education and training to staff and families where required.
- Participate in telehealth consultations when clinically appropriate.
- Support and supervise Allied Health Assistants as required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and uphold clinical governance and professional standards.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy (or equivalent qualification).
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist.
- Previous experience in Residential Aged Care and/or community health settings is highly regarded.
- Strong assessment, treatment planning and clinical reasoning skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Sound computer and documentation skills.
- Current Driver's Licence and willingness to travel throughout the region as required.
- Passion for delivering person-centred care and enhancing quality of life for older Australians.
