The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance requirements and supporting operational finance activities across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Month-end and year-end processes, including balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of annual financial statements and audit support
• Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• BAS, FBT and other statutory reporting obligations
• Asset register management and depreciation calculations
• Oversight of accounts receivable and funding income reporting
• Supporting payroll, salary packaging and finance operations as required
• Maintaining strong financial controls and compliance processes
• Preparation of funding reports and acquittals for government and other funding bodies

About You

You are a technically strong accountant who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality financial outcomes.

You will bring:

• CPA or CA qualification (or near completion)
• Proven experience in a Senior Accountant or Senior Financial Accountant role
• Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards
• Experience preparing financial statements and managing audits
• Advanced Excel and financial systems knowledge
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Candidates with experience in the not-for-profit sector, government-funded programs, and particularly funding acquittals and grant reporting will be viewed very favourably.
