Job Overview:

Ingersoll Rand has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager at our Bentleyville, PA location. This position directly supports the Marine Division to ensure timely and effective project execution for new equipment and rebuilds per contract requirements.  

Responsibilities: 
    
Planning and Strategy Development:  Support sales on new project requests, align schedules & provide preliminary review of contract specifics prior to award.  Upon receipt of contracts, review to determine/finalize scope and related requirements, obtain necessary clarifications, communicate new orders to cross-functional team, monitor schedules to guide the team and stakeholders effectively, drive on-time delivery of documentation & equipment.  
Team Leadership and Coordination:  Guide cross-functional team through project execution from contract award to final acceptance, assign & drive completion of tasks, develop new processes & tools for improved management of contracts, clarify roles & responsibilities of team members including setting priorities, and ensure collaboration among team members, customers, and suppliers.
Budget and Resource Management:  Monitor project costs including internal manufacturing, supplier-sourced sub-components and manufacturing, and resource usage, track and communicate revenue recognition both expected & actual, and ensure margins are maintained.
Risk Identification and Mitigation:  Identify & manage risks to cost, schedule, and revenue, develop & implement contingency, corrective action, and preventative action plans while driving process improvement & efficiency.  
Stakeholder Communication:  Serve as central point of contact for team and stakeholders, provide updates & progress reports including regular project meetings with customers, drive transparency and foster teamwork. 
Quality Assurance and Documentation:  Identify contract requirements & communicate to team, support quality team to ensure quality requirements are being met internally & at suppliers, work to implement corrective actions when quality deficiencies arise, and review/certify final quality documentation prior to submittal to ensure timely acceptance.

Core Competencies:

  • Associate Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of project management experience required.  Project Management training, PMP certification or similar, is desirable.
  • Ability to read and understand technical specifications, drawings and P&ID’s.  Familiarity with MIL specifications is appreciated.
  • Proficiency in ERP system (SAP preferred).
  • Ability to interface with all levels of engineering, procurement, sales, shipping, production, etc. and develop excellent working relationships with customers.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are necessary.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience with Salseforce.com or similar CRM programs is preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.  
  • Government security clearances are required.
