This organisation is Australia's largest producer of recycled construction materials and a genuine innovator in asphalt production and paving. They take mountains of concrete, brick, rock, asphalt and glass, more than 61 million tonnes of it to date, and turn it back into high specification materials used to build roads, rail, bridges, pipelines and ports across the country. THE ROLE
HSEQ Advisor, reporting to the National HSEQ Manager with no direct reports, based at the main office in Melbourne's west with regular travel to sites across Victoria. This is a newly created standalone position and the first appointment of its kind as the national HSEQ function is built out under a recently appointed leader. The role exists to put a credible, visible safety presence in front of operational leaders and frontline crews, lifting compliance and performance through coaching rather than policing. It is predominantly HSE with a smaller quality component.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing practical HSEQ advice and coaching to site and operational managers
- Conducting audits and inspections across Victorian sites
- Engaging directly with frontline teams to drive compliance and continuous improvement
- Leading HSE incident investigations through to root cause and corrective action
- Supporting delivery of HSEQ training and maintaining employee and contractor competency records
- Supporting the business with risk management and overall HSEQ performance
- Contributing to the build out of a new national HSEQ function
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety as a minimum
- Minimum two years in a WHS or HSEQ role within a high risk industry
- Background in construction materials, civil construction, waste and recycling, heavy manufacturing or similar
- Demonstrated experience leading incident investigations
- Confidence working directly with operational leaders and frontline crews
- Full drivers licence and willingness to travel to sites across Victoria
- $120,000 base plus superannuation and a company vehicle
