Monroe Consulting Group, an Executive Recruitment firm, is partnering with an organisation in the Industrial sector to hire an Applied Product Management Manager. This opportunity is based in Malaysia.
Position Overview
Lead the lifecycle and portfolio management of applied HVAC products, driving product strategy, commercialisation, and market success across the TNSA region.
Play a key role in accelerating business growth by aligning cross-functional teams, identifying market opportunities, and strengthening portfolio competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead lifecycle and portfolio management for Trane Applied products, including chillers and airside products, within the TNSA market.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to identify new business opportunities and strengthen competitive product support.
• Partner with regional Product Management, ISC, Sales, Services, Engineering, and Procurement to develop product strategies and go-to-market plans.
• Drive deep involvement in new product development (NPD) processes, including planning, commercialization, and market introduction.
• Engage with TNSA stakeholders to support strategic business unit growth initiatives.
• Work with the pricing management team to develop pricing strategies and value-based pricing approaches that enhance product selling capability in TNSA.
• Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities to identify opportunities, risks, and strategic actions.
• Support cross-functional alignment and execution across teams that may not have direct reporting relationships.
• Act as a consultant and key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on product-related matters.
Key Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Science / Engineering or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in HVAC product design, product management, or product planning.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC products.
• Demonstrated experience in driving portfolio-led growth initiatives.
Technical / Functional Expertise
• Strong product management capabilities, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of projects using established processes.
• Experience in lifecycle and portfolio management of applied HVAC products, including chillers and airside products.
• Experience supporting new product development (NPD), commercialisation, and market introduction activities.
• Ability to analyse market trends, industry dynamics, customer requirements, and competitive activities to develop practical growth strategies.
• Experience developing product strategies, go-to-market plans, and value-based pricing approaches.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders across Product Management, Sales, Marketing, ISC, Services, Engineering, Procurement, and Pricing functions.
• Strong knowledge of market competitiveness and portfolio performance management.
• Strong communication skills with fluency in spoken and written English.
