Join a major government telecommunications program where you’ll take ownership of mission-critical network infrastructure, nd hybrid environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support Juniper-based network infrastructure (SRX focus)
- Lead routing architecture across enterprise WAN/LAN environments
- Configure and optimise BGP, OSPF, MPLS, IPSec VPNs
- Own firewall design and policy management (segmentation, HA, secure connectivity)
- Troubleshoot complex network issues across routing, switching, latency, and security layers
- Deliver network upgrades, expansions, and performance optimisation
- Integrate on-prem networks with Azure hybrid connectivity (ExpressRoute, VPN)
- 10+ years in enterprise / service provider network engineering
- Strong, hands-on expertise in:
- Juniper SRX (ESSENTIAL)
- Juniper routing & switching (Junos OS)
- Proven experience with:
- BGP, OSPF, MPLS, RSTP
- IPSec & secure tunnelling
- Firewall policy design, segmentation & HA architectures
- Experience with Cisco (Catalyst 8K/9K), Palo Alto, FortiGate
- Strong network troubleshooting across large-scale environments
- Exposure to hybrid Azure networking (nice to have, not core)
Requirements
- Australian Citizenship – mandatory
- Security clearance highly preferred
- Able to work on-site in Burwood (5 days/week)
