The Role

Reporting into the Financial Controller, this is a critical finance role, responsible for the preparation of accurate and insightful financial, taxation and management reporting for the business.  This includes:

-fund accounting
  • Monthly management accounting for funds.
  • Prepare quarterly financial reporting pack/NAV.
  • Prepare BAS.
  • Annual statutory reporting and audit.
  • Annual tax distribution calculations and income tax returns.
  • Annual Fund Budget – preparation of fund expense budget for approval by Board.
  • Debt compliance (LVR calculations etc).
  • Monthly NPI and capex dashboard for internal mgmt purposes (by asset).
  • Business Activity Statements (GST) – consolidated group.

The Person
 
  • CA / CPA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Experience in funds management, property, asset management, external audit or a related finance environment.
  • Strong technical accounting, financial reporting and analytical skills, with a proactive and commercially minded approach.
  • Exposure to fund accounting, real estate investments, debt compliance, treasury or transaction-related activities would be highly regarded.
  • Experience with accounting systems and reporting tools (e.g. Xero and Sage Intacct) would be highly regarded.
