Apply directThis is a senior HSEQ position with a strong focus on pre-construction, PQQs and tender submissions, alongside the continued development of HSEQ systems and support of project delivery teams.
Working across a diverse portfolio of multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects incorporating Civil, Structural and MEICA elements, you will play an important role in ensuring HSEQ requirements are fully considered from tender stage through to project delivery.
The Role
As Lead HSEQ Advisor, you will work closely with pre-construction, technical and construction teams, providing specialist HSEQ input across prospective and live projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead the review, preparation and drafting of HSEQ content for PQQs and tender submissions.
- Review tender documentation and identify project-specific HSEQ requirements.
- Prepare tailored HSEQ responses in line with client requirements and company policies.
- Provide HSEQ input to Construction and Technical teams regarding project requirements, constraints and proposed delivery.
- Attend site visits for prospective and current projects.
- Review and further develop existing HSEQ processes, procedures and management systems.
- Ensure procedures remain compliant with current Irish health, safety and environmental legislation.
- Support the continued development of the company's sustainability procedures and reporting.
- Mentor and support the professional development of other members of the team.
- Promote strong HSEQ standards across the wider organisation.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this position, you should have:
- Minimum Level 7 qualification in Environmental Health & Safety or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years' relevant HSEQ experience.
- Thorough knowledge of current Irish environmental, health and safety legislation.
- Strong experience reviewing tender documentation and preparing HSEQ responses for PQQ and tender submissions.
- Previous experience within civil engineering, construction or infrastructure.
- Experience working across multi-disciplinary projects would be highly beneficial.
- Excellent written communication and report-writing skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage effectively with construction, technical and senior management teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint.
- Ability to work effectively on your own initiative.
