Junior Accountant

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Accountant to join a growing finance team, supporting a prestigious automotive division known for innovation, excellence, and a customer-first approach. The Opportunity Reporting directly to the Business Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. Your position will be a blend of transactional accounting, month-end reporting, financial analysis, process improvement, and commercial support.
This role offers excellent exposure across finance, sales, operations, and leadership teams, making it an ideal next step for someone looking to build a long-term career in finance.

Key Responsibilities Financial Accounting

• Support month-end close activities including journal processing and account reconciliations
• Review and analyse sales transactions to ensure compliance with business policies and promotional requirements
• Coordinate retail close activities with internal sales teams
• Prepare and reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts
• Process and review purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Assist with tax-related documentation and financial controls
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Review commission calculations and incentive payments
• Assist with vehicle buyback processing and related financial transactions

Financial Analysis & Business Support

• Prepare financial and operational reporting to support business decision-making
• Conduct pricing analysis and commercial evaluations
• Analyse trends and business performance data
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve business outcomes
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes and controls

Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner closely with Finance, Sales, Operations, IT and other key business functions
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and data integrity
• Support broader team initiatives and ad hoc projects as required

About You To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• CPA qualified or currently working towards CPA certification (preferred)
• Previous accounting or finance experience, ideally within a commercial environment
• Experience working with SAP or a similar ERP system (advantageous)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive mindset with a desire to learn and continuously improve
