About the company
Our client is a global leader in medical technology whose equipment is used every day in hospitals across the UK. Their dedicated service business supports NHS and private healthcare providers with service and maintenance contracts that keep critical endoscopy equipment performing reliably. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Territory Manager to lead service sales in the East Midlands, East of the M1, from Hull down to Hertfordshire and the East Anglia border.
The Opportunity
You will own the sale of service contracts across your territory, showing hospitals the value of protecting their equipment investment through reliable service, reduced downtime and predictable costs. This is a consultative, value-based role: you will work with clinical teams, estates and Electro-Bio Medical Engineering (EBME) departments, finance and procurement to build business cases and negotiate multi-year agreements. You do not need a service contract background. What matters is a strong record in medical device sales and a good understanding of how the NHS buys.
What you will be doing
- Driving service contract sales growth on the territory in line with revenue and strategic targets
- Building pricing proposals, value propositions and evidence-based business cases for customers
- Engaging multiple stakeholders across each trust, including clinical leads, EBME, finance and procurement
- Negotiating contracts in a competitive market that work for both the customer and the business
- Running quarterly service review meetings to show customers the value and performance they are getting
- Using data and market insight to shape proposals around the priorities of each customer
- Keeping CRM up to date and forecasting accurately
What we are looking for
- At least 3 years of successful field sales experience in medical devices (service contract experience is not required)
- Situated within the territory region
- A solid understanding of NHS procurement, including frameworks, tenders, business cases and approval processes
- Experience of multi-stakeholder, value-based selling
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- A degree is desirable but not essential
- Full UK driving licence
Why apply?
This is a chance to join a globally respected healthcare business in a growing part of its portfolio, with real ownership of a high-value territory and a product that customers genuinely rely on.
