Responsibilities

  • Pull and terminate category cabling for cameras and access control
  • Pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cable
  • Install cable supports/J-hooks as required
  • Punch down voice/data jacks and test cabling
  • Pull fiber backbone/ring cable
  • Fiber splicing and testing experience preferred but not required
  • Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, and related infrastructure
  • Read blueprints and follow site safety requirements
  • Work safely on ladders and lifts

Requirements

  • 2+ years of commercial or industrial low voltage experience
  • Experience with structured cabling, voice/data systems, or security systems preferred
  • OSHA 10 Certification Required
  • Current Boom Lift Certification Required
  • BICSI certification is a plus
  • Basic low-voltage hand tools required
  • Required PPE: "Climbing style" hard hat with chin strap, high-visibility vest, steel- or composite-toe work boots, work gloves, safety harness, tool lanyards, and harness lanyard
  • Working knowledge of telecommunications and data networks
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable transportation to and from the Beech Island, SC jobsite
  • Willingness to travel to job sites within the region as needed

 

Project Duration: This project is expected to last 8–12 weeks, with the potential for permanent hire for the right fit based on performance and reliability. Permanent employment is not guaranteed.
