About the Opportunity

An Asia-based infrastructure investment firm is adding an investor relations professional to its fundraising team.

The firm is in market, and the fundraising calendar here does not stop when a close lands. Separately managed accounts and co-investment work run alongside the primary raise, so LP meetings, calls and information requests are continuous rather than cyclical. This is a new seat rather than a replacement, added as that activity builds.

You would report to the managing director who leads the function regionally.
 

The Role

Two things sit at the centre of this seat.

The first is the calendar. A high volume of LP meetings and calls, and all of the logistics behind them, run through this person.

The second is acting as deal captain on due diligence questionnaires and LP information requests. You would not be expected to answer every question yourself. You would own the process: routing questions to the right people across investments, finance and asset management, holding the deadline, and making sure what goes back to the LP is accurate and consistent with what has gone before.

This is an internal-facing seat by design. You would not carry LP accounts or pitch independently. Client-facing exposure comes through shadowing the managing director at LP meetings and industry events, which is how this person is expected to build LP fluency over time.
 

What Makes You a Fit

• Five to ten years in fundraising or investor relations, with at least five of those years LP-facing. The split matters more than the total. 
• Infrastructure background in a must
• You can speak credibly about who the major LPs in this space are, and how a standard DDQ and reporting cycle actually runs.
• English is required. Additional languages are useful rather than necessary.
• Commitment, determination and integrity count for more here than polish.
