To be considered, you will need to be able to provide evidence of:

  • Previous experience in food service, hospitality, catering or aged care is desirable
  • Experience working in Australia
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Food Safety Certificate, where required
  • Valid Police Check
  • 100 Points of ID
  • Valid Work Rights
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain
  • COVID-19 and Flu vaccination, where required by the facility

What will you be doing? Food Service Assistant

  • Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals and refreshments to residents
  • Setting up dining areas and ensuring they are clean and welcoming
  • Delivering meals and beverages to residents as required
  • Assisting residents with meal and beverage service
  • Following individual dietary requirements and meal preferences
  • Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
  • Cleaning and sanitising kitchen and dining areas
  • Washing dishes and kitchen equipment
  • Following infection control and workplace health and safety procedures
  • Working collaboratively with kitchen, care and facility staff
  • Providing friendly and respectful service to residents
