Apply directAn exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Claims Manager to join a well-established brokerage in a leadership capacity. This role will see you managing a portfolio of complex commercial claims while overseeing and supporting a team of onshore and offshore claims staff.
The position will suit a senior claims professional who enjoys mentoring staff, improving processes, and managing key client relationships across more complex claims matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of complex commercial claims
- Oversee and mentor claims staff, including offshore support
- Provide leadership, coaching, and training to junior claims professionals
- Handle escalated and corporate claims matters
- Liaise with insurers, brokers, and clients throughout the claims process
- Ensure claims are managed efficiently and in line with service standards
- Support workflow management across the wider claims team
Team Structure
- Team currently consists of 3 claims staff who are all very strong in commercial/sme claims.
- This role will focus more heavily on corporate and complex claims management
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- 6 + years’ experience within commercial claims
- Strong technical claims knowledge
- Previous leadership or mentoring experience
- Ability to train and develop staff
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- A collaborative and hands-on approach
