Aequor Education is now hiring a full-time School Counselor for the 26/27 school year in Easton, MD! The caseload consists of elementary and middle school students.
Pay: $45 - $47 per hour W-2 (12-month salary options available if preferred)
Position Summary
The School Counselor supports students’ academic success, social-emotional development, and career readiness. This role provides individual and group counseling, collaborates with families and staff, and helps create a safe, inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.

Key Responsibilities
Student Support
• Provide individual and small-group counseling on academic, behavioral, and personal concerns
• Develop and implement intervention plans for students facing challenges
• Support crisis response and provide appropriate referrals to outside services
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate, confidential records
Collaboration & Communication
• Partner with teachers, administrators, and support staff to address student needs
• Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student development and resources
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams and student support meetings
• Ensure services align with school policies and professional standards

Qualifications
• Valid state certification or licensure as a School Counselor (Licensure: MSDE School Counselor Cert/License)
• Knowledge of child/adolescent development and counseling techniques
