Job Description

Seeking people who aspire of moving into data science but already have significant Excel capability and exposure to working in Construction or Engineering, using excel to develop tools that improve the efficiency of an existing process. Typically, with excellent VBA knowledge, Power Query, and exposure to a range of other tools and systems. The successful candidate will provide business analysis expertise for our clients.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in Data Analyst

Considerable experience in working to develop software tools to improve the efficiency of an existing process using the Microsoft stack of products. Primarily in Excel, thus VBA is essential.

Understands project and program  delivery in the built environment and ideally in the context of a large utility.

Who can deal with multiple stakeholders and ideally has some consultancy experience

Other responsibilities, to include:

Preparing presentation and other materials for client pitches, etc.

Qualifications

This role will require good analytic and strong numeracy skills with the ability to understand and present data in different representations. Preferred skills include:

Bachelors / Masters Degree in an analytic subject, e.g., Math’s, Geography, Engineering, Economics etc. 

A Level Math’s and/or computing

Business Analysis qualifications such as BCS or IIBA

An understanding of different project delivery methodologies (e.g., waterfall, Agile etc.)

Experience with modelling. diagramming applications (e.g. Visio, Lucid Chart, etc.)

Problem-solving skills

Candidates must be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Candidates will be expected to engage with clients and be comfortable in eliciting requirements from non-technical stakeholders.
