Associate/Senior Associate - Financial Services

Our client is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join its established corporate and commercial team.

Working closely with experienced senior lawyers, you’ll advise a diverse client base across a broad range of regulatory, transactional and advisory matters. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to quality work while developing strong client relationships and taking greater ownership of matters as your experience grows.

What you'll work on
Your practice will cover a varied mix of financial services and commercial matters, including:

• Financial services regulatory and compliance advice
• Funds management and investment-related matters
• Licensing and regulatory matters
• Disclosure and other financial services documentation
• Commercial agreements and advisory work
• Corporate transactions involving regulated businesses
• Regulatory compliance programs and reviews
• Emerging issues affecting the financial services sector

At Senior Associate level, you’ll also have the opportunity to lead matters, build client relationships and support the development of junior lawyers.

Skills & experience
Ideally, you will have:

• Approximately 2-6+ years' PAE gained within a reputable law firm
• Experience in financial services regulation, funds management, corporate or commercial law
• Strong drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills
• A sound understanding of relevant corporate and financial services regulation
• Exposure to AML/CTF matters will be highly regarded
• A commercial and practical approach to providing advice
• Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with clients
