Our client is an established Sydney-based commercial joinery business with a strong reputation for delivering large-scale projects across the East Coast.
They are seeking an experienced Financial Manager/Controller to take ownership of the finance function and work closely with the Managing Director.
The Role
This is a hands-on position covering the full finance function across multiple entities and a busy project environment.

They are seeking an experienced Financial Manager/Controller to take ownership of the finance function and work closely with the Managing Director.
The Role
This is a hands-on position covering the full finance function across multiple entities and a busy project environment.
- Monthly management reporting, P&L, balance sheet and cashflow
- Month-end/year-end close, reconciliations and intercompany accounting
- Job costing, WIP and project margin analysis
- Progress claims and retentions
- Cashflow forecasting and working capital management
- AP, AR and weekly payroll
- BAS, IAS, PAYG, super and payroll tax
- MYOB management and process improvement
- Liaising with external accountants and supporting the Managing Director with commercial reporting
- 5+ years' experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or Senior Accountant
- Construction, joinery, manufacturing or project-based experience highly regarded
- Strong understanding of job costing, WIP, progress claims and retentions
- Experience with MYOB and multi-entity accounting
- Payroll and compliance experience
- Strong Excel and reporting skills
- CA/CPA highly regarded
- Practical, hands-on and commercially minded
