The location will be at a school or a designated district location.This is a position to support adults with ASL. One adult on a campus is deaf. Parents may need support at this site or another campus based on determined schedule.
 

Required Qualifications

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Arizona Department of Education (ADE) Interpreter License or eligibility to obtain one.
  3. Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
  4. Ability to interpret in academic, social, and school?based settings.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. EIPA score of 3.5 or higher (or equivalent RID certification).
  2. Experience working with DHH students in K–12 settings.
  3. Knowledge of Deaf culture and educational interpreting best practices.
