Apply directJunior Process Engineer / CI Coordinator
High Peak
£31,000
Are you a STEM or Engineering graduate with a placement year or 6–12 months of hands-on manufacturing experience under your belt?
We are partnering with an established manufacturing site in High Peak to find a data driven Junior Process Engineer to work directly alongside the Site Manager. This is not a role where you will be stuck in a back office doing data entry, you will actively map processes, eliminate line bottlenecks and help drive efficiency across the factory floor.
What you will be doing:
- Data & Analytics: Collecting and visualising manufacturing performance data (OEE, downtime, line throughput) using MS Excel to pinpoint operational gaps.
- Process Standardisation: Creating, updating and the roll out of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Single Point Lessons across engineering teams.
- Line Auditing: Conducting real time floor audits on machinery settings against quality and safety standards.
- Root Cause Analysis: Participating in active problem solving sessions to tackle quality, hygiene and efficiency bottlenecks.
What we are looking for:
- A degree (or equivalent qualification/experience) in a STEM subject.
- A little bit of industry exposure: A university placement year, a manufacturing internship, or a few months in a post-grad factory or quality role is highly preferred.
- Strong numerical skills: You should be highly comfortable using MS Excel to manipulate, filter and structure data.
- An understanding of LEAN principles (SOPs, 5S, or Six Sigma foundations) is a major plus.
- A methodical mindset, sharp attention to detail and great communication skills to collaborate effectively with shop-floor operators and engineers alike.
Please apply TODAY to express an interest. A member of the Jelly Technical team will endeavour to contact all suitable applicants within 72 working hours.
Unfortunately we are unable to offer Skilled Worker visa sponsorship either now or in the future for this role. Applicants must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK without the need for employer sponsorship.
