FLT counterbalance

Deluxe Recruitment are currently seeking a FLT / Warehouse Supervisor for one of our reputable clients, to join their busy team in Preston, Lancashire.

Hourly Rate :   £13.34 

Working routine: Monday – Friday.
                              22:00 to 08:00am  (includes 1x hour unpaid lunch break)

Role & Responsibilities:

• The main purpose of the role is the loading and unloading of palletised freight.
• General yard duties.
• Unloading deliveries.
• Communicating with other colleagues.

Requirements 

• Must have experience working in a Supervisory position.
• Be proactive / well organised and attention to detail
• Have excellent communication skills
• Be Health and Safety minded
• Have the ability to work to strict deadlines
• Have the mobility to motivate the team
• Use initiative and be proactive
• Be able to assess a load prior to loading i.e. Height/Weight and stability for double stacking – also weight distribution / stability assessment to ensure the freight is safe to travel on a truck
• Carry out routine daily checks on equipment and record accordingly
• Be able/willing to operate scanners / Computers
• Be aware of the need to occasionally manually handle consignments and re build pallets to ensure safe and presentable to the customer.
• Take pride in the duties.
• Have excellent proactive House keeping
• Prepare vehicles for loading (opening/closing curtains – removing Pallets)
• Hold an in date counterbalance FLT licence
• Preferably have pallet network experience
