We are seeking a Quality/Supplier Quality professional to support manufacturing operations by monitoring incoming supplier products and in-process materials to ensure parts are available for production and meet established quality requirements. This position will identify and resolve issues involving nonconforming parts, documentation discrepancies, shipping problems, and supplier-related quality concerns.

The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of experience in quality inspection, supplier quality, quality assurance, or aerospace/manufacturing, with the ability to read complex engineering drawings and use inspection equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor incoming supplier products and in-process materials for quality, documentation, and availability issues.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve day-to-day product discrepancies and nonconformances.
  • Review parts and associated paperwork to determine whether materials can be released for manufacturing.
  • Communicate directly with suppliers to resolve quality, documentation, delivery, and product issues.
  • Support nonconforming material processes and assist with product containment activities.
  • Help validate supplier and internal corrective actions and follow up on resolution effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and other internal teams to resolve production-impacting issues.
  • Review First Article Inspection (FAI/FAIR), PPAP, and other supplier quality documentation.
  • Assist with customer-returned material and coordinate related internal and external activities.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, route sheets, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Perform or support visual and dimensional inspections using appropriate inspection tools.
  • Apply GD&T principles and applicable quality standards when evaluating parts.
  • Participate in root-cause/problem-solving activities, Kaizen events, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain 5S standards and contribute to a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
  • Provide support, training, and knowledge sharing to other team members as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional technical education preferred.
  • 2–3 years of related experience in:
    • Quality Inspection
    • Supplier Quality
    • Quality Assurance
    • Manufacturing Quality
    • Aerospace Manufacturing
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, aerospace, engineering, or quality environment.
  • Experience using inspection tools and methods to evaluate manufactured parts.
  • Ability to read and understand complex blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, route sheets, and work instructions.
  • Working knowledge of shop mathematics, including basic trigonometry.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional internal teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Aerospace manufacturing experience.
  • Supplier Quality experience.
  • Experience with FAI/FAIR, PPAP, Client/nonconformance, corrective actions, and containment.
  • Knowledge of GD&T / ASME Y14.5.
  • Experience with calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMMs, or other inspection equipment.
  • Knowledge of military/aerospace specifications and standards.
  • Experience with continuous improvement, Kaizen, or 5S.

Compensation

  • Pay Rate: $28–$32/hour
  • $30–$32/hour: Candidates should have directly related inspection or supplier experience, particularly Supplier Quality, Quality Assurance, aerospace, or manufacturing experience.
