Job Description:
This Full Stack Software & Systems Engineer position is a highly varied role combining software development, systems integration, infrastructure, and operational technology support. The successful Full Stack Software & Systems Engineer will work across frontend applications, backend services, APIs, databases, deployment environments, and connected systems.
You will help design, build, and maintain scalable platforms supporting both customer-facing and internal operational systems. The role also involves collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to integrate software with manufacturing processes, automation systems, ERP platforms, and connected devices.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Full Stack Software & Systems Engineer who enjoys building complete systems rather than isolated applications. The business is particularly interested in individuals who can demonstrate strong personal or commercial projects, portfolios, or hands-on technical problem solving.
The Full Stack Software & Systems Engineer will also support deployment pipelines, containerisation, networking, infrastructure troubleshooting, and wider systems integration activities where required.
Skills & Experience:
• Experience within full stack software development
• Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks such as Vue.js, React, or Angular
• Backend development experience using Node.js and Express.js
• Experience with REST APIs, databases, and systems integrations
• Knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases
• Exposure to Docker, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, or infrastructure environments
• Experience working within manufacturing, ERP, automation, or operational systems would be highly advantageous
• Interest or experience in IoT, embedded systems, hardware integration, or connected products is beneficial
• Strong problem-solving skills and a practical mindset
