Mine Production Operators - Blair Athol Mine

Multiple permanent opportunities are available for experienced Excavator, Dozer and Multiskilled Operators to join Blair Athol Mine.

With an immediate focus on the digger and dozer fleet, we’re looking for operators with a strong coal mining background, relevant operating competencies and the ability to contribute from day one.

• Excavator Operators – $148,000 per annum: The fleet includes Liebherr R 9400 and Hitachi EX3600-7 excavators.
• Dozer Operators – $143,221.50 per annum: The fleet includes CAT D10 and D11 dozers.
• Multiskilled Operators – $136,590.90 per annum: Competencies across haul trucks, graders and watercarts are required. The fleet includes CAT 789C haul trucks, CAT 16H and 18 graders, and CAT 773F, 777D and 777F watercarts.

A 4% remuneration increase will apply in October 2026. The figures above are current annual base salaries, no additional allowances apply.

Requirements

• Demonstrated operating experience in a coal production mining environment.
• Relevant competencies for the position, with experienced excavator and dozer operators particularly encouraged to apply.
• A current Coal Board Medical is preferred to support a quick onboarding process.
• Ability to travel to the operation on a DIDO basis and work rotating day and night shifts.

Roster & Benefits

• Permanent employment from day one, rather than a temp-to-perm arrangement.
• 7 days on, 7 days off, rotating between day and night shifts, with 12-hour shifts.
• Single-person camp accommodation available, approximately 15 minutes from site.
• Individual rooms with an ensuite, bed, desk, TV and mini fridge, plus shared lounge areas and fully equipped communal kitchens.
• Bus transfers between camp and site, with covered parking available at both locations.
