DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for Risk Analysis of major customers. Trending and financial analysis of company financial reports. Analyzes the credit worthiness of an account using tools such as Dunn & Bradstreet, business financials, yahoo finance, bank references, and the Global Credit Service.
  • Reviews credit held orders for potential increases in credit limits based on the guidelines and level of authority established by management.
  • Calls accounts that are over their credit limit or past due to collect money and release pending orders.
  • Establishes credit limits for new and existing customers based on metrics.
  • Proactively reviews credit lines for assigned branches and assigned National Accounts.
  • Proactively reviews prospect accounts for National Accounts.
  • Completes financial reviews of vendors, both supply and expense, on a periodic basis.
  • Follows-up on a daily basis on all previously held credit orders.
  • Creates analytical reports on request by management to support credit line extensions.
  • Accesses information through a CRT and enters appropriate date and messages when required.
  • Assist with individual account management as needed (past due, short pays and order release)
  • Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of the MSC mission statement.
  • Prepare thorough cash flow analysis and financial trending for accounts within the portfolio
  • Ability to assess bank and related debt levels and determine the ability for a company to service the existing debt.
  • Provide recommendations for terms of sale related to financially distressed companies
  • Understand various tools for securing risk.
  • Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or the equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of two years of college is preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of commercial credit/collection experience with two years as a Credit Analyst or above required.

SKILLS:

  • Working knowledge of CRT, PC skills and Dunn & Bradstreet. Equifax or Experian experience is desired but not required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Basic knowledge of Excel and Word preferred

Compensation starting at $17.89/hr - $28.08/hr depending on candidate location and experience.

The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
