We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join a local government organisation in Sydney!
This is an initial 3-month contract, to start ASAP. 

You will support the delivery of end-to-end payroll services, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, awards, agreements and organisational policies.

For this role, you must have iChris/Chris21 experience. 

 Key responsibilities include:
  • Processing and reconciling payroll accurately and efficiently
  • Interpreting and applying industrial awards, enterprise agreements, employment contracts and workplace policies
  • Ensuring compliance with taxation, superannuation, workers compensation and other statutory obligations
  • Maintaining payroll records, internal controls and system integrity
  • Producing payroll and workforce reports from the HRIS as required.
About you:
  • Chris21/iChris experience
  • Previous experience using TRIM/Content Manager
  • Extensive experience in payroll processing and award interpretation
  • Sound knowledge of superannuation, taxation and workers compensation payment processes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and delivering high-quality customer service.
  • Local government experience is highly desirable.
