The Role
As General Manager, you will join the senior leadership team with end-to-end accountability for the client's island-based portfolio. You will be a dynamic, presence-driven executive who connects overarching business strategy with on-the-ground operational execution across a mix of fast-paced retail and hospitality sites.

This is a high-visibility, hands-on role designed for a commercial leader who excels in dynamic environments, enjoys mentoring operational managers, and thrives on solving complex logistical and seasonal challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Executive Leadership: Provide holistic direction across the client's combined island operations, serving as a key member of the senior executive team.
• Commercial Performance: Take full ownership of P&L performance across all operating units such as optimising revenue, gross margins, labour productivity, and overall profitability.
• Operational Excellence: Establish and maintain exceptional standards across product presentation, customer experience, service delivery, and compliance.
• People & Capability Building: Mentor site leaders, build senior capability, and oversee workforce strategy and rostering tailored to peak trading cycles.
• Supply & Logistics Management: Oversee unique island logistics, inventory pipelines, and supply chain movements to guarantee seamless continuity.
• Culture & Synergy: Cultivate a unified culture across diverse operational sites while partnering closely with centralised group support functions, including finance, HR, marketing, and procurement.

What You Will Have

• Senior Multi-Unit Experience: Proven track record leading multi-faceted operations across retail, food service, or hospitality sectors.
• Commercial Acumen: Robust financial discipline with demonstrated success in managing P&L, controlling wage budgets, and maximising operating margins.
• Presence-Driven Leadership: An energetic, solution-focused leadership style that prioritises visibility, active coaching, and leading from the front.
• High-Volume & Seasonal Agility: Experience managing high-volume operations with fluctuating seasonal demand and complex supply chains.
• Uncompromising Standards: Strong attention to detail regarding customer service, operational hygiene, brand presentation, and safety compliance.
• Strategic Communication: Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to make confident decisions and unite diverse teams around a shared vision.
