Food Retail Store Supervisor/Manager

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Retail Supervisor / Manager to join a well-established and highly regarded retail business in Cooroy.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment, leading by example, and delivering exceptional customer service while supporting and developing a high-performing team.

About the Company:

Located in the heart of Cooroy, our client is a busy, community-focused fresh produce and specialty food store with a loyal customer base and a strong local reputation. Supported by a dedicated team of 15 employees, the business prides itself on delivering exceptional customer service, fostering a positive workplace culture, and creating an enjoyable shopping experience for every customer.

Currently operating Monday to Saturday, the business is preparing for an exciting expansion into Sunday trading and is seeking a hands-on leader to help drive this next stage of growth.

Customer service is at the centre of everything they do. They are looking for someone who shares their commitment to supporting a collaborative team environment, maintaining high standards, and leading by example to ensure both customers and team members have a positive experience every day.

About the Role:
This is a hands-on leadership role, with a roster that is working predominately on weekends. You'll be right in the thick of it, leading by example on the shop floor. You'll serve customers, support your team, and keep the store running smoothly while setting the standard for service and teamwork.

Fresh produce or specialty food experience is a bonus, not a must. They can teach you the products and industry. They are looking for confidence, good judgement, a positive attitude, and someone who genuinely enjoys leading people and creating a great customer experience.

• Open and/or close the store as required, including cash handling, security procedures, and end-of-shift reconciliation
• Supervise, direct, and support team members on shift by allocating tasks, monitoring performance, and providing real-time coaching
• Foster a positive and collaborative team culture by leading through attitude, energy, and effort
• Communicate team or operational issues to management clearly and promptly
• Maintain high standards of customer service, store presentation, and operational efficiency

What you'll need:

• Has at least 2 years supervisory or management experience in retail, hospitality, or a similar customer-facing environment
• Is mature-minded, professional, and proactive
• Has a strong work ethic and leads by example
• Is reliable, punctual, and highly organised
• Has excellent customer service and communication skills
• Can confidently motivate, support, and develop a team
• Will be available to work weekends

• Full-time position
• 5 days per week (predominantly weekends)
• Consistent Hours
• No shifts start earlier than 5:00am
• No shifts finish later than 6:00pm
• 6-month probation period
• Pay rates under the General Retail Industry Award, with higher level considered based on experience
