COF A Technician

Are you a qualified Automotive Technician with COF A authority looking for a stable Monday to Friday role?

We are working with a leading automotive operation in East Tamaki seeking an experienced COF A Technician to join their busy workshop team.

This role offers a strong focus on Certificate of Fitness inspections across a fleet of light commercial and rental vehicles, while also providing variety through servicing, repairs, vehicle preparation, and compliance-related work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out COF A inspections on light commercial and rental vehicles
  • Diagnosing and rectifying compliance-related faults
  • General servicing, maintenance, and repairs
  • Vehicle safety inspections and compliance checks
  • Maintaining accurate inspection and workshop documentation
  • Ensuring all work meets NZTA compliance standards

About You

  • Qualified Automotive Technician
  • Current COF A authority is essential
  • WOF authority advantageous but not essential
  • Strong knowledge of NZTA compliance requirements
  • Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high workmanship standards
  • Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
  • Current clean driver's licence
