Apply directAbout the Role
Clarity Partners is looking for an experienced Broker Support OR Claims broker to join a family-orientated, award winning general insurance brokerage based in Osborne Park.
The business provides general insurance and risk advice across a broad range of industries, with particular experience across rural, SME, corporate, NFP and heavy motor portfolios.
This is a varied opportunity combining internal broking and support work with hands-on claims management. The role will be approximately 85-90% broking work with the remaining portion to support the full time Claims Manager. Working closely with the brokerage team, you'll provide higher-level support across the broking function while taking ownership of claims from lodgement through to settlement.
For someone looking to progress their career, there is genuine scope to develop into a broader broking position and eventually take on greater responsibility, including managing your own book of business, if so desired.
What You'll Do
- Provide high-level broker support across a diverse portfolio of commercial and rural clients.
- Assist with policy administration, renewals, documentation, insurer correspondence and general broking activities.
- Manage insurance claims from end-to-end, including lodgement, follow-up, negotiation and settlement.
- Support the Claims Manager with ongoing claims management and administration.
- Liaise with insurers, clients and internal team members to ensure matters are progressed efficiently.
- Assist with the preparation and coordination of insurance documentation and client requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure claims and broking activities are followed through to completion.
- Identify opportunities to take on greater responsibility across broking and claims as your experience develops.
About You
We're looking for someone with at least one year of insurance brokerage experience; either as a broker support or a claims broker or a combination of both.
Training and support will be provided, with the focus on finding someone who is proactive, willing to learn and keen to build their knowledge and career within the insurance industry.
You'll be someone who:
- 12-24 months at an insurance brokerage (minimum)
- Presently understands the claims process and can confidently manage claims through to resolution (or a willingness to learn)
- Is comfortable working independently and taking ownership of tasks.
- Isn't afraid to ask questions, get involved and take initiative.
- Has strong attention to detail and follows matters through to completion.
- Communicates openly and confidently with colleagues, insurers and clients.
- Enjoys working in a close-knit team where people are trusted to get on with their work.
Why This Role
- $80,000 – $110,000 + Super, dependent on experience.
- Salary expectations higher than this would be expected to run and grow your own book of business. This is an option, and you are encouraged to apply.
- Genuine pathway to progress from broker support into broking and portfolio management (if desired).
- Brand new Offices in Osborne Park with parking on site.
- Flexible hybrid arrangement, with 3-4 days in the office.
- Flexible start and finish times
- A relaxed, low-micromanagement environment where initiative and accountability are valued.
- Exposure to a diverse commercial portfolio, with a strong rural and farming focus, including a range from SME through to large mid-market, complex clients.
If you're an insurance professional who is looking for a balance of career development, learning from a high-performing, supportive team whilst also having autonomy, flexibility and trust within your role, then apply now to take the next step in your career and a member of the team will be in touch.
