Shift Boss | Underground Mining | 7/7 Roster | $120/hr
 
Ready to take the lead underground?
 
We are seeking an experienced Shift Boss to join a well-established underground mining operation on a 7 days on, 7 days off roster. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader looking to step into a high-performing operation, with the added benefit of a temp-to-perm pathway for the right candidate.
 
Reporting directly to the Underground Manager, you will be responsible for leading crews, driving production outcomes, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise underground crews across daily mining activities
  • Drive safe and efficient production outcomes
  • Coordinate development, production and ore extraction activities
  • Conduct pre-starts, workplace inspections and risk assessments
  • Ensure compliance with mine plans, procedures and statutory requirements
  • Mentor and develop operators and underground personnel
  • Maintain accurate shift reporting and handovers
  • Promote a positive safety culture across the operation
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Previous experience as a Shift Boss or Underground Supervisor
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage crews
  • Sound knowledge of underground mining methods and operations
  • Well-developed communication and decision-making abilities
  • Experience managing safety, production and operational targets
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
Essential Qualifications
  • Valid Shift Boss qualification
  • Relevant statutory certificates required for underground mining operations
  • Strong understanding of WA mining legislation and site safety systems
  • Proven commitment to maintaining safe and productive workplaces
