We're currently supporting a UK Central Government organisation on the appointment of an experienced Policy Requirements Manager to join a high-profile Risk & Compliance programme.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in ensuring policy, regulatory and risk requirements are effectively embedded across a large-scale transformation programme, working with senior stakeholders in a highly regulated environment.
The Role
As the Policy Requirements Manager, you'll support the successful delivery of risk and compliance activities by driving policy adherence, strengthening governance and promoting compliance best practice across the programme.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll assess compliance processes, identify areas for improvement and provide expert guidance to ensure regulatory obligations are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and embedding of policy and compliance requirements across the programme.
- Promote awareness of compliance policies, standards and governance processes.
- Review and improve enterprise risk management processes and controls.
- Collaborate with business, technology and governance stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Monitor compliance activities, produce reporting and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Deliver training and guidance to increase organisational awareness of compliance obligations.
- Support senior stakeholders with risk assessments, policy interpretation and governance decisions.
Essential Experience
- Active SC Clearance (required).
- Strong background in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM).
- Experience working within Risk, Compliance or Governance functions.
- Knowledge of policy compliance, regulatory frameworks and assurance processes.
- Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders across complex programmes.
- Experience producing compliance reporting, conducting risk assessments and driving process improvements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
- Experience within Central Government or the wider Public Sector.
- Certifications such as:
- Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM)
- Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP)
- Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT)
