Senior Project Engineer

Redpath Partners is partnering with a well-established South Australian civil contractor to recruit a Senior Project Engineer.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced civil engineer looking to step into a key leadership role, leading project engineers, site engineers and supervisors on complex civil infrastructure projects.

Working across local and state government projects, you'll take ownership of project delivery from planning through to completion, combining technical engineering, commercial management, procurement, programming and site leadership.

The Role
As the Senior Project Engineer, you will:

• Support the Project Manager in delivering civil infrastructure projects safely, on time and within budget.
• Lead and mentor Project Engineers, Site Engineers and Supervisors throughout project delivery.
• Manage project programming, resource planning and construction methodologies.
• Oversee procurement, subcontractor management and supplier negotiations.
• Drive commercial outcomes including forecasting, cost control, cash flow, RFIs, variations and EOTs.
• Coordinate project quality, safety and environmental compliance.
• Review engineering designs, technical documentation and construction methodologies.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
• Support project reporting, commissioning and project handover.

About You

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Proven experience as a Senior Project Engineer delivering civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong commercial and contractual management experience.
• Experience managing subcontractors, procurement and project financials.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and lead multidisciplinary site teams.
• Strong understanding of project planning, programming and resource management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience delivering local government, state government, transport or civil infrastructure projects highly regarded.
