Our Logistics & Transportation client is looking for Senior Test Analyst on contract basis in Melbourne or Sydney.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Analyst with a strong testing background across Workday, HR/Payroll, and Time & Attendance systems to support a major payroll transformation program. This role will be responsible for Integration Testing and End‑to‑End Testing to replace the legacy Preceda payroll system with the new aPay payroll platform and Workday enhancement to jobs and compensation

Key Responsibilities:
Planning and Administration
- Plan, coordinate, and execute testing activities in collaboration with IT teams, business stakeholders, and vendors.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test documentation aligned to project milestones and release cycles.
- Ensure end‑to‑end test coverage across all impacted systems, including Workday, aPay, UKG Pro (Time & Attendance), and Finance systems.
Testing Services
- Plan and perform functional testing, system integration testing (SIT), end‑to‑end testing, and regression testing.
- Validate payroll calculations, interfaces, inbound and outbound integrations, and downstream impacts.
- Identify integration risks and ensure appropriate testing strategies are applied to manage those risks.
- Record, manage, and maintain repeatable test scripts and test cases.
- Execute exploratory testing to uncover edge‑case defects in complex payroll scenarios.
- Support and coordinate test environment readiness and test data preparation activities.
- Log, track, and manage test incidents through the full defect management lifecycle.
- Participate in defect triage and work closely with vendors and internal technology teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Coordinate testing activities involving third‑party providers and external integrations.

- Drive continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and approaches.
- Support cutover planning, data migration validation, and post‑go‑live hypercare activities.
- Contribute to lessons learned and quality assurance improvements throughout the program lifecycle.
Technical Skills and Experience
- Strong understanding of payroll implementation testing and associated risks.
- Proven experience in integration and end‑to‑end testing within complex, enterprise environments.
- Hands‑on experience testing HR/Payroll ecosystems, ideally including Workday, aPay, and UKG Pro.
- Solid understanding of test automation concepts, including unit, integration, regression, and acceptance testing.
- Practical experience using exploratory testing techniques.
- Experience working across both Waterfall and Agile (Scrum) delivery models.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high‑quality outcomes under tight timelines and changing priority
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, HR Technology, or a related discipline (preferred).
- 10+ years’ experience in testing roles within complex project environments.
- 5+ years’ experience in system integration and end‑to‑end testing, preferably within payroll or HR technology programs.
