Senior Data Engineer

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer to join a growing data and technology team delivering enterprise-scale analytics, AI, and data platform initiatives.

You'll play a key role in building modern data solutions that drive better business decisions, improve operational performance, and support innovation across the organisation.This is a hands-on senior role suited to someone who enjoys solving complex data challenges, shaping technical solutions, and working with modern cloud technologies in a highly visible environment.

This is: what you'll do

• Design and deliver scalable data engineering solutions supporting analytics, AI, and machine learning initiatives
• Build and maintain enterprise data pipelines using Python, SQL, and PySpark
• Develop data ingestion and integration solutions across a range of business systems and data sources
• Deliver batch and near real-time data solutions that support critical business outcomes
• Partner with Data Scientists to deploy and support machine learning and AI models
• Design, build, and optimise cloud-based data platforms and analytical data products
• Implement data quality, monitoring, and governance capabilities
• Drive automation, CI/CD, and engineering best practice across the data landscape
• Troubleshoot complex data and integration issues within production environments
• Work closely with technical and business stakeholders to deliver practical and scalable solutions

This is: what you'll need

• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale data engineering solutions
• Strong hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and PySpark
• Experience building and supporting cloud-based data platforms
• Solid understanding of data modelling, data warehousing, and modern data architecture practices
• Experience integrating enterprise applications and data sources using APIs and other integration patterns
• Knowledge of Azure data technologies and modern engineering practices
• Experience supporting advanced analytics, machine learning, or AI-driven solutions
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to operate across both strategic initiatives and hands-on delivery
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Synapse, or similar platforms will be highly regarded
