Job Title: Senior Architectural Technician

Department: Design & Technical

Position Summary

Responsible for coordinating all design and technical aspects of new planning applications and existing development projects. This role oversees the full lifecycle of site development, from initial concept through to completion and post-completion support.

Main Duties

Engage in land bids and strategic land processes, providing early-stage design, technical, and planning input

Produce constraints information, layouts, and detailed designs to support land valuation and bid processes

Produce and amend site layouts, house type drawings, and technical documentation

Liaise with planning authorities and stakeholders on planning matters

Prepare, submit, and manage planning applications (outline, full, and reserved matters)

Manage discharge of planning conditions

Coordinate production and submission of building regulations applications

Issue and coordinate construction information to site teams

Manage on-site project queries, attend site meetings, and liaise with stakeholders

Produce contract, legal, and conveyancing drawings and coordinate legal site setup

Handle post-completion matters including management company liaison and customer care technical input

Supervise, mentor, and support junior team members

Coordinate external disciplines (e.g. ecological, archaeological, noise surveys)

Attend out-of-hours meetings where required (e.g. parish councils, public exhibitions)

Attend meetings necessary to perform duties

Comply with company policies, procedures, and values

Undertake additional duties as required
