.Net Developer

Overview

Client is seeking a .NET / Azure Developer to design, develop, and support scalable, secure web applications using ASP.NET MVC, C#, JavaScript, jQuery, Microsoft SQL Server, and Azure. This role partners with subject matter experts to translate requirements into functional applications and supports responsive user interfaces, cloud deployment, and application modernization.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using ASP.NET MVC, .NET, and C#.
• Partner with subject matter experts to clarify business requirements and translate user stories into functional application features.
• Build scalable, secure server-side services with backward and forward compatibility to support efficient deployment.
• Develop responsive web interfaces that work across multiple devices and screen sizes.
• Create and maintain front-end functionality using JavaScript, jQuery, and modern development practices.
• Support Microsoft SQL Server databases and use database management tools such as SQL Server Management Studio.
• Develop and deploy cloud-based applications within Microsoft Azure environments.
• Ensure applications are secure, maintainable, deployable, and operational by default.
• Apply usability standards and incorporate customer feedback into application design.
• Use Git to support source control and collaborative development workflows.
• Support technology modernization and adapt to evolving development tools and practices.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies

• Five to ten years of experience working with .NET and Azure technologies.
• Experience developing applications using ASP.NET MVC and .NET.
• Strong proficiency in C#.
• Experience with JavaScript, jQuery, and modern front-end development practices.
• Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and database management tools such as SQL Server Management Studio.
• Familiarity with Azure development and cloud-based application deployment.
• Experience building scalable, secure, and maintainable web applications.
• Understanding of Git and collaborative software development workflows.
• Computer science education or equivalent experience with .NET and Azure technologies.

Preferred Skills or Experience

• Experience with Angular or other modern front-end frameworks.
• Exposure to Docker and containerized development environments.
• Experience with Node.js, including current LTS versions, and front-end build tools such as Gulp.
• Familiarity with Visual Studio Code and .NET SDK v8.0.
• Experience with DBeaver or comparable database management tools.
• Knowledge of Power BI or other reporting and analytics tools.
• Experience supporting application modernization initiatives.

Work Details

• Remote position requiring candidates to reside within driving distance of the Sugar Land, Texas, office.
• Ability to attend onsite meetings monthly or every other week
