Lead Interior Designer

This practice delivers architecture, interiors, master planning and advisory projects across education, workplace, community and residential sectors. The studio is known for creating spaces that foster connection through strong design integrity, collaboration and a highly personalised client approach.
They are now seeking a Lead Interior Designer to take ownership of the interiors offering within the practice and play a key role in shaping its future growth.

The Role
This is an opportunity for a confident and design-led Interior Designer to step into a leadership position within an established architectural studio. You will lead interior projects from concept through to delivery while helping grow and evolve the interiors team over time.
The role requires someone who is highly capable in client-facing situations - presenting ideas, pitching for projects, building relationships and confidently communicating design intent to stakeholders. Strong presentation and storytelling skills are essential.

You’ll work across a diverse range of projects and budgets, requiring the ability to balance refined, high-end design outcomes with practical, commercially aware solutions. Initially, you’ll operate autonomously within the interiors space, with the opportunity to build out and mentor a growing interiors team as the practice continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead interior design projects from concept through to delivery
• Present design ideas confidently to clients and stakeholders
• Assist with client engagement, pitches and business development opportunities
• Develop thoughtful, well-resolved and commercially aware design solutions
• Work across both premium and budget-conscious project environments
• Produce and oversee high-quality documentation in Revit
• Collaborate closely with architects, consultants and project teams
• Help shape and grow the interiors division within the practice
• Maintain strong design standards and attention to detail throughout all project stages

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Senior or Lead Interior Designer within architecture or interiors
• Strong presentation, communication and client management skills
• High-level Revit proficiency is essential
• Experience delivering projects across varying budgets and typologies
• Strong design sensibility with excellent material and spatial understanding
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of projects
• Commercially aware with the ability to balance creativity and practicality
• Confident managing stakeholders and leading conversations with clients
• Australian project experience preferred
