A strong community health system in New York City is seeking a licensed Physician to join their team as a Medical Director.

About the Opportunity: 
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday (1 Saturday or Sunday per month)
  • Hours: 9am to 5pm (one later night per week)
  • Setting: Outpatient
  • Patient Population: all ages 
Responsibilities:
  • Directly supervise all providers working at the outpatient site and perform competency evaluations
  • Organize monthly meetings with providers with documented minutes of meeting
  • Participate in monthly office management meeting with nurse manager and office manager of site
  • Monitor provider productivity, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance
  • Supervise clinical performance of training programs and trainees in collaboration with training program directors
  • Collaborate with nursing, social work, and administrative managers in the hiring of new staff
  • Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages in addition to leadership and administrative responsibilities
Qualifications:
  • License to practice medicine in New York
  • Board Certified/Eligible in Family Medicine
  • Interest in community health and working with diverse populations
  • Previous leadership experience
