Ethos BeathChapman is partnering with a large utilities organisation to recruit an experienced Senior Commercial Manager for an initial 3-month contract. This is a high-impact role suited to a commercially astute professional with a strong background in commercial strategy, partnerships, complex transactions, financial modelling and stakeholder management. Working within a senior commercial team, you will play a key role in identifying, developing and delivering strategic commercial opportunities that drive business growth, innovation and long-term value.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of strategic commercial initiatives and partnerships
• Identify and evaluate new business and revenue-generating opportunities
• Develop commercial strategies, business cases, valuations and financial models
• Structure and negotiate complex commercial agreements and transactions
• Manage a portfolio of commercial projects and ensure successful delivery of outcomes
• Partner with senior stakeholders across finance, operations, strategy and project teams
• Provide commercial advice to support key business decisions and investment opportunities
• Monitor market trends, innovation and emerging commercial opportunities
• Support capability development across the broader commercial function

About You

• Extensive experience in commercial management, corporate strategy, infrastructure advisory or corporate finance
• Strong experience delivering complex commercial projects, transactions and partnerships
• Advanced financial modelling, valuation and business case development skills
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and negotiation capabilities
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and key decision-makers
• Strong commercial acumen with a strategic mindset
• Proven experience managing multiple priorities within complex organisational environments
• Degree qualification in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline

• Infrastructure, utilities or asset-intensive environments
• Corporate advisory or Big 4 consulting
• Investment banking or transaction advisory
• Large and complex commercial organisations
